             Sr. Sultan Mydin Ibrahim is the Group Managing Director for JB Jurunilai Bersekutu Sdn. Bhd. He is the founder and the Principal Partner of Jurunilai Bersekutu when the company was formed in 1984.

 

             He is a Registered Valuer and a Licensed Auctioneer for several states. He is a Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, (MRICS), UK, Associate Member of the Rating and Valuation Association (ARVA), UK, a member of The Institution Of Surveyors, Malaysia (ISM) and the Association Of Valuers & Property Consultant In Private Practice (PEPs).

 

             A graduate from the MARA Institute of Technology (ITM), Shah Alam, Selangor, he was the best Graduate student of 1977 and began his career in the field of valuation & property consultancy with the then Asian Appraisal (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd under the tutelage of the late Tengku Haizam Ahmad, who was also the Managing Director of the company. Later, he pursued a CNAA BSc Degree in Land Administration in London and graduated with an Honours Degree in 1981. He then served PETRONAS for 4 years and involved himself in the Property Department when the oil corporation was in the process of acquiring massive properties in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

 

             In 1990, he pursued his Master Course at The Cardiff Business School, University of Wales, UK and was conferred his MBA from the University. With his 32 years experience in valuation & property consultancy for Commercial and Merchant Bankers, Security Commissions and major corporate clients. he has ample knowledge in the property consultancy field. His involvement covers a wide spectrum of properties viz., public as well as private-owned agricultural plantations, manufacturing and industrial complexes including power plants and refineries, ports, holiday resorts with golf courses, housing developments and retail & commercial complexes throughout the Asian region and abroad. Major Market Studies too have been done directly under his supervision including the development of new townships, resorts developments and high-tech parks.

 

             To share his vast experiences in the property consultancy profession, presently, he is involved as an Advisor & Consultant for a number of GLCs (government-linked companies), State-owned corporations and other government agencies With the corporate establishments, too, he has given his ideas and expertise on Consultancy, Asset Management and Due Diligence Exercises and also given advice to numerous manufacturing industries and established property developers in Malaysia.
